The President of Lakeside University College, Ghana (LUCG), Dr. Mohammed-Sani Abdulai today played host to UDS’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Seidu Al-hassan on LUCG’s campus. The meeting afforded the two universities’ leaders and their teams to discuss wide range of issues, including exploration of new collaborations and partnerships as well as firming up their existing relationship and regulatory affiliations forged over the years. LUCG, whose School of Business and Technology is an afflilate of UDS over the past academic year has intensified its effort to positively engage its stakeholders and partners to explore ways to accelerate the development of the university.
Prof. Al-hassan, whose team included, Prof. Ibrahim Osman Adam, Dean of School of Business and Vice Dean of School of Education, Prof. Ibrahim M. Gunu commended the leadership of LUCG for the effort to find a new strategic direction for the university.
The Vice Chancellor pledged to support LUCG’s effort to introduce new programs and enrich its existing programs to meet industrial demands. Other issues discussed at the high level meeting centered on faculty development, collaborative capital and infrastructural investments, and redesign of effective management and regulatory framework to provide quality education for the mutual benefits of the sister universities.
Dr. Mohammed-Sani Abdulai, on his own behalf and that of LUCG’s Council and Community thanked the UDS’s visiting team for the productive meeting. He singled out Prof. Al-hassan for praise for the critical support he provided LUCG during its formative years. He did not forget to congratulate the Vice Chancellor and UDS for the recent victory at the World Universities Games in China.
At the meeting were also LUCG’s Registrar, Mr. Daniel Bukari and members of the management team.
