The GMSA of LUCG has sworn-in new executives to power the organization’s affairs for next academic year.
At a colorful, but modest ceremony on the university’s campus, the out-gone President Mr. Hamza Abukari on behalf of his team expressed his profound gratitude to faculty, students, alumni, and members of the LUCG’s community for the support they enjoyed during their stewardship. He singled out the President of the university, Dr. Mohammed-Sani Abdulai for praise and commendation for continuous supports to organizations like GMSA to promote active campus life. He thank President Sani for providing exceptional leadership for the university, contributed significantly to many projects his team successfully executed.
The just sworn-in leaders of the association accepted the responsibility and mandate entrusted them by the rank and file of the association in humility. They promised to build on the success of their predecessors to keep the Islamic tradition of the university empowering.
The event was blessed and graced with the presence of Dr. Alhassan Nantogma Salifu, Dean of School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, who chaired it and supported by Dr. Eng. Imoro Adam, the Dean of Students and Dr. Abdallah, a faculty of the university. The dignitaries took turns to admonish the new leaders to close their ranks and be guided by the leadership examples of the Holy Prophet of Islam (SAW) in the discharge of their duties.
Bevy of Awards and Citation were presented to recognize the contributions of members of the LUCG’s community to the association.
