Objectives:
The course introduces the student to industrial safety and hygiene, Equipment identification in the laboratories, Domestic and industrial setups, different types of equipment, etc.
Introductory lectures on and exercises involving industrial safety and hygiene;
Metrology: (standard systems, uses of conventional measuring instruments and exercises involving use of metrology instruments).
Familiarization tour of engineering laboratories; Equipment identification in the laboratories; Electrical wiring systems; Domestic and industrial setups.
Foundation, cement/sandstone mixes, steel reinforcement concrete foundations and columns.
